I installed it in my '98 BMW 525i to replace my unit that was stolen. Had to buy a BMW radio wire harness and antenna adapter to match up (extra $10). It is working perfectly. It matches the interior on my car perfectly.
Overall I am very pleased with the unit, no bells and whistles but more than adequate. Some minor complaints but I will survive. I am using a 2GB SD card and transferred all my favorite songs from my music collection onto it. I don't know what is the maximum size SD card that can be used. No more car clutter with CDs and CD cases. Just slide in the SD Card and instant music.

2. Excellent performance for a great price.
3. No need for CDs, CD scratches and sound skips when driving
4. Love the use of SD card and USB drive. I can change out and add songs whenever I want.

I installed it in my Civic, and the stereo works perfectly. The unit, definitely, looks and feels above its price. It has real plastic buttons with which you can distinctly feel every click. These buttons are a real rarity these days. Also, it has alluminium face cover and two in-line fuses at the back. The unit sounds much clearer than the similar-price Pyramid stereo that was installed in my car before. I don't have any issues with radio signal reception. The player memorizes the last song. It can play random songs, cycle songs, switch +/- 10 songs, play with different presets - lots of options!
On the negative side, the buttons are labelled with numbers, which makes it hard to remember which button is which. Also, I didn't get how to switch folders. It shows something like FLD 000, but plays all content from all folders regardless.

It replaced an also cheap road gear stereo cd player. Installation was fairly easy, instructions were sparse but workable, I ran a dedicated hot and ground from the battery, I would recommend this to other buyers when installing on foreign vehicles due to light weight wiring harnesses, Also be VERY careful the large display is easy to scratch.

Nice large display, simple station memory buttons very easy to operate while driving, memory card slot with usb
The bad
This stereo has terrible terrible sound quality it makes FM sound like an AM radio inside a bucket, The main reason I got this was to listen to audio books on long trips so the sound is not quite as important, but any mp3 I put in it resets after about 5 minutes to another chapter.
Another issue this unit has is poor radio tuning one of the features that is listed is a digital tuner however it is has much more trouble tuning in... Read more
