My biggest Mistake on Amazon yet, October 4, 2009 By Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: Boyo VTL251 Ultra Slim Zinc Metal Chrome License Plate Camera (Electronics) After a lot of research on Amazon in search of the perfect reverse cam add-on for my VW Touareg SUV, I settled for this product; even though there were little or no reviews to aid my decision but I just relied on the product specifications hoping it will do what it says it will do. The Item shipped in promptly as ordered, I hired a professional to install it, who told me that he was more familiar with more established brands as this brand was barely known, and he hopes it will last in the long haul. It worked fine as the picture quality was good enough even in night vision with a good viewing angle. But unfortunately after three days it started blinking and picture-fading intermittently, it continued until the fifth day when it finally went blank and practically died on me. I took it back to the installer you tried checking it, trying to see if there was any breach in connection but everything was fine. It has the best picture and you should see how bright it is at night.
I've been in the car audio business for over 10 years and i've seen / installed a lot of cameras, this by far is the best i've seen and used. Now it does have a $140+ price tag, but you get a full plate trim ring and built in camera and no one knows its there.
Plus its bolted from the inside so no one can steal your license plate or camera. Yes its tedious if you want to remove the plate, but then again its a good security feature.
