One of the best subs you can get, but..., June 15, 2011 This review is from: Lanzar OPTI1533D Optidrive 15-Inch High Power Dual Voice Subwoofer (Electronics) ...not for the price here at Amazon.
I have two of these wired in Series / Parallel (1.2 ohm), each mounted in an Atrend SPL-15SV enclosure, and powered by a Power Acoustik CPT1-5500D amplifier. Needless to say, even with my amp not pushing close to rated power (Inflated #'s), these subs hit hard. I did, however, get the amp tuned perfectly to my head unit to ensure maximum power without clipping. That way, even with these subs being highly under-powered, I'm not damaging them with distortion by trying to over-compensate. So, without any worries, I crank'em hard! Sounds amazing!

Lanzar OPTI1533D, March 28, 2012 By This review is from: Lanzar OPTI1533D Optidrive 15-Inch High Power Dual Voice Subwoofer (Electronics) This Lanzar 15'' Sub was definately worth the price, compared to the kicker 10,000 watt sub priced at $ 1,200 here on amazon Lanzar steals the show all hands down!!! I owned now 2 of these 6,000 watts subwoofers from Lanzar and would reccomend it to anyone looking for some serious bass!!! I have this sub & a Lanzar VCAP800 & a yellow top battery & a 7" in dash cd/dvd player all with the original alternater which I am thinking about upgrading to a high output alternator because my head lights still dim when the bass hits hard...any recommendations on how else to get more power without paying what $800 for a high output alternator???

Loud but started to blow, May 24, 2011 This review is from: Lanzar OPTI1533D Optidrive 15-Inch High Power Dual Voice Subwoofer (Electronics) 2000rms hifonics amp hooked up to the 3000rms sub and the sub started to blow, U can smell it and see it smoking. worked out for me cuz i swapped it for a laptop on craigslist
